This, the second suite in the concept project by Italy based alternative rockers The Migrators, tells the story of Jesus Christ from his time in Gethsemane up to Peter's betrayal. Within this package there are seven tracks and a promotional video clip that will eventually form parts of a multimedia rock opera. Unlike the musical Jesus Christ Superstar these tracks have a definite post punk feel. Heavy bass lines and textured synths stray at times into the avant-garde. There are also a variety of other influences ranging from pop and jazz to prog rock. Providing continuity across the tracks are the highly stylised vocals of Ana Vukovojac and Rob Falsetti. I, however, found these repetitive and difficult to listen to and would have liked a little more variety across the recording. Although lacking the lyrical inventiveness of Steve Taylor, "Arrested" was reminiscent of some of his early recordings and was by far the most enjoyable. The bonus video included within the package was nicely put together and well filmed and does point towards the potential in this project.
