A double A sided single from a London-based rap led soul/jazz funk collective who seem to be seasoned sessioners judging by the extensive list of mainstream artists they have played with. The Pod have taken the famous Billy Taylor instrumental tune and given it a 21st century feel. It is better known as the theme from Jonathan Ross's BBC Film show though Solomon Burke gave it a vocal run through back in the '60s. Here rapper Junekneeah-Nathaniel has added some soulful rhymes and the overall effect is a catchy, well produced piece of pop. The second track, "Hope", is penned by the Pod, is equally soulful and has more rapping from Junekneeah-Nathaniel and some cool vocals from Donna Gardner. In short, I love it!
