Already heard on Mike Rimmer's Rimmerama programme, this three-song single introduces us to a four-piece from Lincoln. Piano-driven rock with Adam Daubrey showing himself to be an effecting lead singer while the guitar riff locks itself around a mid tempo song. "Prelude" has a fast tempo and a heavily treated vocal on the intro while "Follow Maria" is a mid tempo chugger with an insistent ringing guitar figure. With their strong prog rock influences I can hear why the Rimmer has gone a bundle on The Silver Lakes. An album - with enough budget to develop all their musical ideas - could be a revelation.
