As for Volume 2, there would be at first glance some unlikely candidates for Celtification; Graham Kendrick, Rich Mullins, Matt Redman to name but three; but hey, the magic works again! Irish harp on Graham’s “Peace To You”, with Joanne’s vocals; acoustic guitar solo and whistles on “Awesome God” – why they didn’t include the verse is beyond me! – and vocals by Lucy Britten; and as for Matt’s “I’m Coming Up The Mountain”, Lucy does another good job, with a nice acoustic arrangement and Simon Goodall on harmonies. Admittedly, some of the arrangements don’t work, but there are more hits than misses. These are not only good learning tools, but also worth getting for the performances as well. Why couldn’t all the other albums in the series be this good?
