I don’t really agree with Midshipman Kirk’s review of ‘Bob And Larry's Backyard Party’. When you hear the teeth-grating rendition of “She’ll Be Coming Round The Mountain” or the grisly inclusion of “Row Row Row Your Boat” we’re painfully close to the parental torture/child abuse albums that Cedarmont Kids have been giving us for years. Now you might argue that all our favourite Veggie Tale characters’ sung and spoken interjections make bearable these kids cheerfully singing decades-old corn. And there are some originals to make the thing mildly amusing. But on the whole, I’m still not convinced that we want to be giving four to nine year olds stuff as puerile as this. As a card carrying Veggiephile (I’ve got all the videos to prove my membership) I’d suggest Big Idea leave tosh like this to the Cedarmont crew and return to their core talents, getting animated vegetables to teach tots (and adults) spiritual truth with wit and precision.

I can't find Midshipman Kirk’s review of ‘Bob And
Larry's Backyard Party’, so I'm afraid I don't understand
Tony's comments . . . but having just heard this CD for the
first time, I think it's FUN, FUN, FUN - yes, even possibly
a boatload of the stuff ! So I find 3* derisory, and would
like to recommend a revision to 7* at least - if you please?
