I am trying to get in contact with Viv Broughton. I am an up and coming author that has a manuscript submitted and approved by my publisher, Balboa Press. But since I am including pictures in the book of the Salem Travelers, the group that my father, Talman Thomas was an original member for many, many years, my publisher says that I need to have permission from the photographer or the one that has Rights for the picture. The book where their images appeared was in Vivi Broughton's book, Black Gospel An Illustrated History Of The Gospel Sound, on page 72 in the book. The picture has Ray Funk's name posted at the side top of their images. I have contacted Ray Funk by way of email, and he promises to call me today. I am looking for Mr. Viv Broughton because, since their image appeared in his book, I thought that Mr. Viv Broughton would be able to help me. The Rights issues the what needs to be resolved so that I can move forward in my book being released. I hope that Mr. Viv Broughton would be willing and able to help me in the very important matter.
