America's black inspirational singer Wintley Phipps is a good friend of Billy Graham and on this album he takes 10 of the great old hymns that have so often featured in the great evangelist's rallies and puts them into a stirring orchestral setting. Over the top of it all is the rich voice of Phipps himself, who puts all his energy and skill into interpreting the songs in a way that brings them alive with a winsome freshness and powerful vitality. The set includes "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", "Be Still, My Soul" and "And Can It Be?" If you like such lyrically and musically moving hymns, then you'll love this CD.
