"He Is Exalted", "Come On And Celebrate", "Hosanna", "All Heaven Declares"... Heard them before? Now hear them again, and again, and again. The USP (unique selling point) on this new album series sure isn't the choice of songs, nor is it the competent though anonymous vocals from John Perry, Ray Johnson, Sarah Lacey etc, etc. No, the USP is that all the backing tracks are available on midi files (ask your church keyboard player if you don't know what they are). This means that if you'll send off the cash you can obtain the backing tracks on floppy disc and your church can soon resound to the sound of Chris Norton at the Roland. Is 'World Of.Worship' a pioneering new move pushing church worship into the technological age? Or is this an initiative destined to make charismatic worship even more stylised and safe than it is now? Pass.
