World Wide Worship is the new praise and worship resource from Kevin Mayhew Publishing Company. Their aim is to release worship material from church denominations all around the world to the wider Body of Christ. The end result is a collection of songs from worship leaders such as Matt Redman, Graham Kendrick, Stuart Townend, Darlene Zschech and Geoff Bullock, as well as some lesser known names. The vocalists involved include Michelle Heritage, Wendy Ritchie, Su Reeves-Bassett, Simon Goodall and David Lyle Morris. One of the songs featured - "The Heavens Are Open" - was a prophetically God-given song to Jo Puleston (Ichtus Christian Fellowship, Pimlico), which is beautifully sung here. Favourite songs for me in this collection include "What To Say Lord (Everyday)" written by Joel Houston from Hillsongs in Australia. This is an infectious guitar-oriented Brit pop-sounding song which I had to leave on repeat play! The gentler sound of "All The World Can Offer (Because)" written by Colin Hardy is another catchy tune. These are songs I want to be singing in church! This is a very useful recording and I would recommend it to anyone looking for fresh worship songs to introduce to their church. My one complaint would be that there are not more songs featured by unknown worship leaders from across the country.
