I continue to be intrigued by the raison d'etre of this novel series of worship devotionals, and I wonder if anyone actually knows anyone who uses them, month by month, in the prescribed form - ie, as a type of musical Every Day With Jesus. Certainly they comprise neat little packages with attractive, glossy study booklets. As to the music itself, the two CDs included in the April offering contain a total of 30 songs (one per day) and a wonderfully generous play time of two hours and 20 minutes. Great variety of musicians and songs, few of which are full-force rock numbers; most being mid-paced or gentler pop/inspirational cuts. The tracks are from the likes of Geraldine Latty, Stuart Townend, Matt Redman, Cathy Burton, Mark Tedder, Kelly Minter.....the list goes on. Some rare beauties are to be found among them, such as Bethan Stevans' "Every Beat Of My Heart" and Matt Redman's "God Of Our Yesterdays", finely rendered by Chris McClarney.

Product Description
An innovative new project that hits refresh on the concept of the daily devotional. Worship Devotional offers something that is genuinely new and undeniably valuable.
The concept itself is simple enough; Worship Devotional comes in the form of a series of double CDs, each a compilation of some of the greatest worship songs recorded in recent years. And accompanying each of those songs is a specially written devotional text that unpacks the lyrics, points back to the Bible and guides the reader through a beautifully written reflection on the God-centred heart of the song. Prompts to pray and act also follow, and combined with the songs themselves, Worship Devotional offers a great way to go deeper with God.
With songs written by the likes of Stuart Townend, Tim Hughes, Delirious?, Matt Redman and more.
