Kingsway have produced 12 of these little packages of a small hard back book containing daily meditations, short extracts from the Bible and a double CD with a song for each day of the month. The strapline at the top of the cover reads 'Worship: Reflect: Pray: Respond' - an excellent aim. The starting point for each daily reflection is not a Bible verse, but a worship song, and the CD for May contains songs by such luminaries as Noel Richards ("Calling All Nations", "For The Word He Has Made"), Tim Hughes ("Day After Day", "Beautiful One") and Stuart Townend ("Mystery", "There Is A Hope") amongst many others. In many ways that's a good thing as I'm sure we often belt out the words without really thinking about what we're singing. For each day, the book contains the lyrics of the song, a brief reflection (with the usual scatter-gun approach to Scripture to be found in daily reflection guides), a short prayer and a suggestion for a response. As a good compilation of worship sings with the bonus of some written stuff to make you think about the songs, this certainly hits the button. And you can use it during the other 11 months of the year as well.

Product Description
An innovative new project that hits refresh on the concept of the daily devotional. Worship Devotional offers something that is genuinely new and undeniably valuable.
Worship Devotional comes in the form of a series of double CDs, each a compilation of some of the greatest worship songs recorded in recent years. And accompanying each of those songs is a specially written devotional text that unpacks the lyrics, points back to the Bible and guides the reader through a beautifully written reflection on the God-centred heart of the song. Prompts to pray and act also follow, and combined with the songs themselves, Worship Devotional offers a great way to go deeper with God.
With songs written by the likes of Stuart Townend, Tim Hughes, Delirious?, Matt Redman and many more, Worship Devotional pulls together so many of the songs that are the cornerstones of faith for many in the church today.
