A rousing selection of Salvation Army band music. Not normally my cup of tea, but such is the quality of the production (by Gordon Lorenz) and the performances from this obviously, extremely accomplished band, that this CD quickly won me over. And very relaxing and uplifting music it is too. There are 20 tracks included here, and they include many of the Army's best loved marches written by their greatest composers. "Victors Acclaimed" by BramwellColes is on here, and that sounded vaguely familiar even to me! But for those who know more about these things than me, "Star Lake" by Eric Ball is also included, as is Norman Bearcroft's "To Regions Fair" and "Long Point." A great CD, and thoroughly recommended even if you're only remotely interested in brass band music or the Sally Army.

Pleasant review though strange to have a reviewer who is not knowledgable or "into" brass bands or Salvation Army.
Better pick someone who knows about the genre
