An ideal introduction to the flavour and high musical standards of Salvation Army worship. There are 16 tracks in all, eight performed by the songsters and eight instrumentals. It would have been nice to have had at least one track which combined the two musical forces, perhaps a rousing conclusion. Perhaps next time? Among the instrumentals, there are pleasing arrangements of some classics, including Graham Kendrick's "The Servant King", "What A Friend" and "Amazing Grace". Otherwise, the music is all Salvation Army material, fine if you're a Salvationist, but unfortunately most of the Christian CD-buying public is not. I can't therefore see this album having the popular appeal that its warmth and musicality deserves.
