The current Board of Trustees are as follows:

Alan Barker JP A Managing Director of Base Systems Limited in Preston Lancashire - Vehicle equipment Car audio, tracking, security car phone kits and for Business and Home CCTV and Access Control. He also serves as a Magistrate at the Preston City Courts. Alan has been a trustee since the foundation day as a registered charity. His role is Chairman and functions to ensure the balance of the board and each member having a specialist function to fulfil government requirements and our business plan goals. He also helps grow the existing strong relations between the executive and trustees.

John Bowles From Suffolk and works in the energy industry. Used his expertise to develop the trust and company registration and served as the company secretary before joining the board as a trustee. His specialist area is to maintain the filing of requirements to the Charity Commission and Inland Revenue and the procedures for the trust to consider. Risk assessments, health and safety and other practical issues are his specialist tasks.

Rob Andrews A partner in a firm of solicitors Andrews Law based in Bridgnorth with a specialist role in Commercial law. A strong supporter of Cross Rhythms following his own “personal connection”. Following this, became more involved, in particular helping to develop the strategy for other groups to broadcast on FM starting with 'Cross Rhythms Plymouth'. The board have been looking to appoint a solicitor to give the board the best legal considerations at meetings and we are now delighted that Rob is with us as a trustee who now has the responsibility for all legal issues.

Chris Cole The former Chief Executive of Cross Rhythms and now the Regional Director for God TV. As the founding visionary for Cross Rhythms his involvement and input is sought after and his role will be to continue the development of CR with collaborations with like-minded Christian groups, organisations and individual supporters.

Consultants To The Board

Martin Scott A leader from the Pioneer Church stream with a heart to help the church reach those outside the Church. Martin is particularly focussed on the church engaging with the marketplace and has much to offer the CR community radio model. He also has strong connections to leadership within the church Community of Stoke on Trent, and is well versed in the complexities of connecting church and wider community.

Tony Fitzgerald Founder of Church Of The Nations stream of churches (over 1000 worldwide), Tony has been a contributor to Cross Rhythms as both a festival speaker and a trustee since 1991. With a strong understanding of the Father Heart of God his contribution to the board of strong mature spiritual insight has been, and continues to be, vitally important to the steering of the CR ship!

Mike Davies Pastor of Inspiration church in Okehampton he also has oversight and input into several other churches in the UK. He is part of Church of the Nations International. He started working life with what is now HM Revenue & Customs. For many years he operated his own accountancy practice. He has previously worked as a consultant with many firms of accountants including the likes of KPMG and Ernst & Young, who are both internationally recognised firms of accountants. He has vast experience in the investment market and at one time worked for one of the UK's largest private client stockbroking and investment managers specialising in large pension schemes. He is currently employed as a pastor and also operates his own insurance surveying company working for many of the UK's larger insurance companies. Mike is a trustee of several charities, one of which is Gilead Foundations a drug and alcohol rehabilation charity closely connected with Cross Rhythms. He is a local councillor in Okehampton, runs various marriage courses with his wife Justine, and speaks at many worldwide conferences, mainly in Africa.

Kerry Cole
Kerry is the co-founder of Cross Rhythms. Kerry provides valuable insight from her 27 year journey since the inception of Cross Rhythms. She is also a leader in the Cornerstone Fellowship church in Plymouth, a former leader of the local Women’s Aglow International group, the author of The Purple Veil arts/poetry book and the presenter of the Worship Warehouse radio show.

Andrew Boyd
Providing quality oversight of our journalism Andrew has 30 years' experience in journalism in press, radio, TV and online media, and 20 years' experience as a media consultant and trainer for senior corporate spokespeople and senior civil servants. His heart is to pursue excellence in communication. His specialities are: Media and presentation training; television news production; producing effective, well-targeted news releases; human rights reporting. He is the author of Broadcast Journalism, the leading textbook for training broadcasters, and How to Handle Media Interviews.
