Original Prayer

Lord, Father I do what I do not want to do. You have said to me be holy as you are holy - and I have not been. Lord look at me turn your face toward me and forgive my sin. I find it hard to say that as I find it very hard to feel forgiven Lord. Lord I struggle with the internet and things that shouldn't be looked at, consequently lord that affects my mind and immoral thoughts come to it. father I do want to be loved and I know this is a poor substitute but it does feel as if it has some hold through the physical side of things Lord - being a bloke pressure builds up and in the end I give in and dont really want to, Father forgive me, Jesus intercede for me I pray, Let me have that assurance that I can forget what is behind and press on - please Lord I know you've broken the power of sin, help me to work out how to use that and to be strong enough to obey - give me your holy spirit in greater measure so that I can fight off the temptation with you willing me to do right, In Jesus Name Amen

Lord I thank you for Gar and his strength of character to confess his sin and what troubles him. Lord Jesus even on the cross you forgave someone dying with you because he had faith. Lord you are the rewarder of those who diligently seek you - you will be with us through everything. Lord I pray that you will transform him by the renewing of his mind, you will make him whole as a man so that he will become a brilliant husband at the right time.Let this honesty and intimacy he has with you be reflected in a relationship with a wife, and let the lies and counterfeits of the devil pale into insignificance compared to true love. Lord you're not far from our problems, you even put Song of Solomon in the bible and created Adam and Eve naked and unashamed - Lord, create the right attitude in Gar toward sex, and let him master it rather than it mastering him. May you put the right people around him to relieve his loneliness and to support him rather than tempt him into negative images of what a man is supposed to be or to do. Lord you are mighty and strong to save - you would not have sent Christ as a Saviour if this wasn't true. Thank you Lord, amen.

Father thank you for Gar and thank you for his honesty please strengthen him and build him up in the Holy Spirit so that he can resist this temptation and help him to know that you are always ready to forgive when we turn to you in repentance. Your word says that if we confess our sins you are faithful and just in forgiving our sins because of Jesus. Help Gar to forgive himself too. Release Gar into the wonderful plans you have for his life and help him to put the past behind him.
