Original Prayer

Dear Lord, Help me to know you more and stronger than ever. Relight my desire to chase and seek you in more things. I'm a small group leader, and lately have found myself relying more and more on my own knowledge and wordly wisdom -but I know this isn't what you would want me to do. Help me seek you more. Also Lord, as the world puts pressure on me and I feel bowed down and weary and negative, help me be lifted up and above such negativity - remind me who I am! I know you have a plan for me, but sometimes I struggle to feel it - help me Lord. I want to lean on you more. Help me to have a more personal relationship with you Lord - more in my heart than in my head. I love you Lord

Dear L, Our God so loves a prayer like yours, to desire to know the Lord is an amazing thing. To decide to live for Him for the eternal promises he has for you is such a wonderful ambition. I feel sure that the Lord will honour your prayer. Isn't it wonderful to realise that He is so in love with us that we want to respond to Him with equal strength. I know in my heart I wish to serve Him and know Him as much as I can too. I have found that when you make such a decision that all of a sudden you seem to meet people of a similar nature, with the same attitude as you as God surrounds you to help you in your wish to know Him more. God is wonderful isn't He! I wanted to add that when you are a leader of a group whether that be church or cell...or whatever it is so easy to be caught up in the duties and not spend enough time in prayer with the Lord. When this happens you start to run on empty...we all do it, it's in our nature...but you know to wish to seek God as you do is the right thing. Trust in the Lord, and you will find you have all the strength you need to cope with all that He asks of you. You know this is going to sound really strange, but when I stop in extra prayer and then go and "do" I find that what needed to be done takes less time! God bless L, may Yeshua be with you. Eve X
