Original Prayer

God I am sorry that I can't do what you ask of me. I want you to cleanse and restore me but the memories of what he did to me make it seem an impossible task. I know you want to be the top priority and that it hurts you when I turn elsewhere in dark times. I pray that you will help me to give you control. I'm sorry.

Hi Jen, Sometimes it is so easy to think that you have to forgive immediately after such an incident has happened and I find that there is a lot of pressure put on people to move on in church. Look what I am trying to say is this...it takes time to grieve for a lost person, relationship, or marriage. When you have been hurt by a man...you need to take time to greive and pray for healing. Seek professional christian counselling...God understands your need to deal with this situation and your feelings in your own time. Take time out, get help. Don't feel any guilt. The Lord loves you very much and he wants to heal you...you should seek him and spend time with him. Don't push your feelings away let then all out, the hurt, the anger, the hate...let it all out but do so with a professional...get some help soon...it is easy to turn away from God when things hurt so much but the only way to restoration is with God. God is your healer and knows all things.He knows your struggles and he wont ever leave you or forsake you even when you go elsewhere.He loves you and he will turn your life around,renew you,restore you and your already cleansed the day you accepted Jesus as you saviour.I dont know your issues or past hurts,but ive been there too and God is a faithful,patient,loving,caring Father who WILL help you live a life full of his blessings and not live in a past life.Keep praying,keep crying,and never give up hope because God is IN CONTROL of your life.Remember the enemy? He comes to steal,rob and lie to and from us BUT "If God is for us who can be against us?" God bless you(and he will) love & prayers
