Original Prayer

Whilst a new christian i had an abortion and sinned greatly afterward by lying etc.I parted company with my dear christian friends who i still miss.18 yrs on i am greatly sorry and frightened.I am not a calvinist but more of the view that salvation may be lost.Please pray for my 2 sons and sons fiance and grandaughter as i ams o depressed its made them all sad. I wish i beleived oas but i dont im more a dan corner type beleiver.Hope you will still pray for me .I renounce all murder and lying today. I have no one to talk to of the same beleifs as me. Helen

Hey Helen, I am always greatly thankful when somone who has sinned greatly according to their own concience come to a realisation of their sin, and repent. Your remorse and repentence is noted in heaven. God listens to our prayers. He takes us seriously, especially when ha have fallen and are willing to take emotional and spiritual responsibility. God is good like that. The point is. There are a few practical things you can do to set yourself free from this past. We need to deal with the forgiveness that Jesus gives you freely through the work he did on the cross. We need to deal with the issue of relationship with Jesus, yourself, the little one you aborted, and your family. We need to deal with the possibility of the curse of this sin that is evidently felt by your family, that I feel is a emotional catalyst of the condemnation you live and walk under. We need to learn how to take this situation and turn it into a valid testimony of God's grace that resonates into every area of your life, and by that testimony you can walk free from guilt and shame, and grow forgiveness and understanding within your family. Hi Helen beloved daughter of God. When we come to Christ we do not understand his great love and mercy for us. I am not here to judge you. I do believe that if you choose to not follow Christ then you choose to dishonour God and his Holy Spirit. I am currently reading a book called "The Road to Hell" by David Pawson, its written for Christians but explains you can lose salvation. But it is not as bleak as you think. God as Jesus made the way for a person to return to him and be totally forgiven for all our past mistakes. He paid the price for all the sins we will ever commit on the cross. We all have regrets, many are unchangeable but we live with the results. It is hard and you can not bring this child back. But did you know that when Jesus was a baby in Mary's womb, Elizabeth who was pregnant with John...found her child reacted to the living complete spirit of Jesus. the Lord. John as a baby himself in the womb sensed the Lords presence. This is so important for it points to the fact that when a baby is in the womb their soul is already complete or alive. If a child is not born on earth, how can it sin? I believe the soul of your unborn child resides with God in heaven. I have three children in heaven, I miscarriaed them. I believe they went straight to God as they were not actually born into sin on earth. Be encouraged your child is alive...I strongly believe this. You can not change the past Helen but you can change your future. Turn to Jesus and find his forgiveness then not only you will find His peace today later you will live with Him in heaven and also meet your child. The best way for you to set an example for your family is to live and become a believer in Christ each day. You can not pick up the pieces of lost friendships but you can move on and seek new brothers and sisters in Christ. Go to a bible based church Helen and find God's forgiveness...all you need do is ask him. He is waiting for you. God bless, Eve x

Hi Helen, i am probably not the one who should or can say anything that could comfort you. All i know is that God never leaves or takes our salvation as once you have opened your heart to him that is like an eternal door that is always open. The problem is, as iam sure many ppl tell you is that this world and its 'culture' and invisible suffocating pressure dislocates us from that pure deep mystery of God and that passion that only glows gently in the dark after the years pass. What i do know is that God holds the aborted child you had in his arms and says, its ok.... its ok.... reach out to me and open your heart......... THere is so much that was 'murder' in the bible.... David sending a man to his death so he could have his wife.... not to mention Issaac though that was more of a test. I guess what iam saying is that life is eternal in every way and God turns back to us his face and will eventually restore all joy and peace, and remove every pain,sin and tear from our eyes..... In Jesus name i would pray that even a small part of my limited words and understanding would speak to your heart by Gods' power...........
