Original Prayer

Please pray for me. I'm struggling with alot at the moment, alot of it comming from stuff thats happened to me in my past. I dont want to be alive. I want all the pain to stop, and I want everything to be over. Please pray that I will find comfort and a way through my past. Thanx.

laura, I have recently had to deal with loads from my past and after a couple of suicide attempts things are really looking up. keep your eyes fixed on jesus he healed me from the pain and the memories at my baptism and i know he can be your healer too. i will add you to my prayer list. Read psalm 121 god will never leave you and the pain and suffering that you are feeling now is not wasted, God will use it and you in turn will be able to help others, God loves you and he weeps when you weep. He has you in the palm of his hand, keep trusting him. It is hard but i got there and you can too.

Well done for writing your prayer here. The fact that you are reaching out for God even within the depths of what you are going through is great. Having felt real storms and torment emotionally coming out of what I did as a Christian, let me encourage you that Jesus has the power to still the storm. He has the power to heal damaged emotions. He can release us from guilt, shame, fear, anger and whatever else you may feel. He can deliver us of trauma so that although we can still remember what we've done or has been done to us, we no longer feel the pain associated with the memory. Keep seeking the Healer. Follow Him and He will lead you beside quiet waters and restore your soul (Psalm 23). You will feel peace again. That is your destiny as a Christian. As some practical advice, some Christian counselling might help. Whether that's simply spending time talking through things with someone you can trust who can help you through these things, who is older and wiser. Who could possibly also pray through these things with you too and cover you as you go through the process. Or official Christian counselling. I believe you have a great future and your Healer is very gentle and sensitive, yet strong and mighty too. You're in good hands.
