Original Prayer

Dear Father Chris, my closest friend has moved away and my next closest friend Neil has become hostile and has indicated that he feels threatened by me and my position in the church (particualarly the Media Team which he has recently left). Both my friends know and love you Lord and I thankyou for them. I do not understand what is happening, I have always struggled to maintain good friendships and today is no exception. Please help me Father. Amen

Andy, reading your prophecy etc that you have also put in these rooms, you sound like someone who is going for God. Someone who is putting Him first. Often when we do that people around us cannot get close, because relationships have to have the foundation of the Spirit. Some people are going for God, but build out of need to be liked, or other stuff. Maybe God is cutting the ties because you're going to a different place with God that they don't see for themselves yet. Don't let people or their lack of understanding of you, or their rejection, be a distraction to you in your faith. Keep going. I believe God's first heart is for unity, but sometimes, decisions people make mean we have to walk through lack of unity or not being seen. I pray for the God of courage to enter your heart and for despair to flee and leave you alone. I pray for belief in yourself to remain in your heart and I banish the enemy from discouraging you through other peoples opinions and your need for friendship. I pray for strategic relationships for you. People who are going the same place as you spiritually. But through your wilderness I pray you would go through it as a son knowing your Father. Trust Him. Trust His leading and authoring of your life. Follow Him and He will lead you through.
