Original Prayer

i am currently at school and am having a lot of difficulties standing up for my faith or even bothering to show it because most of my friends are non christians and they put my religion down also to help matters my school is spiritually dark the few of us who are christians are struggling to keep above water because the school seems so against it. the headmistrees at the moment is refusing to allow a christian union to be set up. please could you pray for a spiritual breakthrough and that we might have the courage to witness and evangelise. i hav on a plus point been away on christian camp and that has started a stengthening within me praise the lord !! but i need ongoing prayer. thank you

Liz, it is great that you have this desire to see a CU set up in your school. Continue to pray for your headteacher that her heart will be softened and that she will allow you to have a CU. Take faith and do not let your friends or any authority figure put you off because as it says in Romans 8.31 'If God be for us, then who can be against us?' and I tell you that God is FOR you! I have got a similar problem in my school as the headteacher is an atheist but we are praying for him and God is moving. Stay hardcore!

Liz....I am praying for CUs to be set up in most schools, I live on an Island that God has a plan for, and I have seen my school change, which was spiritually dark, and not many Christians to having a CU group of 12-18 people come every week. Have everlasting hope that is higher than rainbows. KNOW that God will move dramatically in your school. I too have been on Christian camps that have changed me, and don't be afraid to show your Christianity to other people. I have a few Christian friends in my school, and all of them are either above or below me, practically none in my year group at all. But I know that we are standing with God and He is always with us and loves us so much, that we are constantly overflowing with His love without realising it. I know He will move in your school and your life because He did in mine: I went from being a bullied, scared, quiet little girl to being a CU leader in my school, strengthened by God and his love. LIVE His love everyday, and listen for Him, and belive me you will change to be the Girl of God that God wants you to be. Love you loads.....
