Original Prayer

Lord God this lust will DIE as you enter my body. This lust will be destroyed as you enter me. This lust will leave me white and pure, with no memory of it in my soul. I love you so so so much - there is NOTHING at all I can do to make you love me less... I've felt so so close to you lately, I love you, I love you... You're beautiful. Incinerate ME and my shortcomings, and set in me a holy fire! I love you so so much. Let me feel you close again and drown this guilt which I know is nothing before you as you have died for me. I just feel so so frustrated with this addiction, but I know with your power I can and WILL break this. Chris, I have been through the same thing and, after years of repenting and then re-offending, I have got into the Word and put my Spirit life first, with Jesus in control. Reading the Word and praying and then using the Word as protection. Its a start - for both of us! The children of Israel kept coming back to the Lord and getting rid of Baal shrines, but I notice (in 2 Kings especially) that they still allowed Baal shrines to remain in the higher places! Lust (and accompanying temptations: TV, unnecessary PC activity, mags etc.) must be toppled from the highest places (not exactly sure what they would mean for us, but I can speculate) May God bless you as you take the path of discipleship in Jesus' Name.
