Original Prayer

Father, help me to be strong in your name. I am so overcome with apathy at work: I struggle to get my daily tasks done, because I am so unhappy. I am letting you down, and deceiving others. I fritter my time away, push work under the carpet and leave it unnoticed. It's irresponsible and unworthy behaviour, regardless of my unhappiness. Help me to be more conscientious, despite the adversity I face. Help me to do a good job, regardless of how hard I find it to motivate myself. Father, if it is your will that I leave this job for a new direction in life, help me to hear your voice more clearly, to giude me in the direction you would that I take. If though, you want me to stay here, then please, please help me to have the strength, to see the good in it, and to grow in love for those I work with. I can't do it on my own Lord - I feel as though I'm drowning here. Through Jesus may I find strength to follow the path you have laid for me, whatever it may be. I love you Father x

Father, I pray for Ali - you have an amazing plan for each of our lives - we were designed to be fulfilled. I thank you Lord that when I felt unfulfilled and did exactly the same as Ali you were preparing for me an amazing task that I would never want to end (except in heaven of course). Father I ask that you direct Ali into your plan for her, that you free her from her feeling of drowning I ask that you prepare her for the plan yuo always had for her and reveal it to her clearly so that she knows it is you behind it, and then give her strength to carry it through in Jesus name Amen ALi - this is hard so I wont pretend its not I dont think I ever managed it for long - Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. col 3:22 NIV God bless and go with you to work each day x

It sounds like you are really struggling and my heart goes out to you. You clearly love God though and He will bring you through this difficult time Father I lift Ali to you and thank you for her. Please let her feel you close to her at this time help her to let go of her apathy and trust you with whatever is weighing her down. Please give her the motivation she needs to do a good job and pray you would give her really clear signposts showing her where you want her. Please help her to know that as she goes through the riivers of life she will not drown and lift her spirits Lord. Thank you that Ali is your precious daughter and you love her so much please stop her feeling like she is drowning and help her in any situations where she has been feeling this way.
