Be genuine and real. This is a place to worship God by giving up in prayer the sin and struggles, attitudes and apathy that are in your life. Put them in the incinerator to be burnt to ashes by God.

The fire

You know in the fire I find. We are made in his image more and more, In the fire we never come out the same, and even though he turns it up hotter at times its seems. We are being shaped and molded in what he wants us to be and right at the right moment, WE come out of the fire, Changed in his image, So no longer do we look at that fire as condemnation or shame or punishment, but as blessing to be honored to be chosen to be in that fire. For he knows the ends results, He that began a good work in me is FAITHFUL To COMPLETE IT!!! To God be the Glory for the fire he takes us through!!!

fine pottery takes fire

thanks for your encouragement Cheryl. I read it out on Community Choice yesterday to give hope to those that are walking through the fire. Fine pottery needs to be fired in order for it to hold water etc and be useful and effective. The fire purifies our hearts... but you are right we don't always see that when things are hot and hard. Bless you :) Sarah J Community Choice Presenter

Trial By Fire

In life, we see many types and shadows of the bible. For instance, look at a diamond! It starts as a lump of coal, burried deep in the bedrock. It is molded and shaped by incinerating heat and unbelievable pressure, into a jewel. Once plucked from the bedrock, after its transformation, it then goes into the hands of a skilled craftsman where it is cleaned and fashioned by cutting and polished into a priceless jewel. Our lives are much like that of a diamond. Life provides the heat and the pressure and God uses it to transform a heart toward Him. He then, as a loving father, removes the stains and imperfections that a life of sin have left behind in our mind and body, until we emerge spotless, blameless and in right standing before Jesus as His bride. Praise God!! Remember however, The fires of tribulation and pressures of life are not God imposed, but He works all things to our good! He knows the plans He has for me!! (Jer 29:11)
