Here's a brief biography taken from thebandwithnoname's website: chipK is thebandwithnoname’s resident singer/rapper/screamer who is passionate about storming every media outlet available to him with the brilliant message of Jesus. Ever since tbwnn’s first inception in 2002, he’s been bringing the mad hardcore edge to their live stage performances, doing whatever it takes to get people’s attention in order to point them to the cross. Having been born in Florida, raised in Israel, studied in California and currently living in England, it’s safe to say that touring the world is nothing new for chipK. He started out touring with his parents and younger sister, singing, rapping and dancing from the age of twelve. As a family, they managed to record several albums together and tour their unique show in over 25 different nations. After studying for three years at a Bible/Performing Arts school in California, chipK found himself in England working as a Vodafone salesman! However it wasn’t long before he was auditioning for the Manchester based Innervation Trust’s first touring band – thebandwithnoname. The rest, as they say, is history. chipK's Testimony - "I became a Christian at the age of four. I have no recollection of the experience at all, but my mom says it happened in the car after church one day, while we were our way to Burger King. I'd been asking her about what it means to have 'Jesus in my heart'. Once she'd explained it to me, I decided it was something I very much wanted to have. So she said a very simple prayer with me that day and I invited Jesus into my life. Consequently, once we'd finished praying, my two and a half year old sister piped up from the back seat, 'I want Jesus in my heart too!' - so the whole process started again. Can you say Youngest. Convert. Ever. "I've invited Jesus into my life hundreds of times since that day (usually after hearing some particularly convicting sermon or watching some movie about Hell or the end times!). I was baptized in water at the age of about seven, and baptized with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues when I was ten. I've always had a desire to do what's good and right according to the Bible and I can honestly say I've never really gone off the rails and rebelled, even all through my teen years. I'm living proof that it is actually possible! I'm not saying I've never sinned because God knows I certainly have. But whenever I've confessed my sin, God has been faithful to forgive me. I believe my salvation should be worked out daily - with fear and trembling. I believe I should take up my cross every day and follow Jesus." » Email Chip K |
