Comment: The book may have made it's own ficticious nature quite clear, but if it has, very few average joe's told me that. I've been honestly bewildered by how many clever-atheist friends of mine genuinly presented the book to me (before it's real fame kicked off and historical criticisms were widespread) as historical evidence for the sham that is my religion. Bizarre! yet indeed, as it has been pointed out, we must be careful to keep from the stereotypical blindly judgemental responses that the public takes with such relish as proof of our judgemental nature as a church. love
