Comment: Prior to the title of "Mr. Amy Grant", in late 1981 comes the songwriter of Amy Grant's first climb into CCM. No doubt, the title song is the most favorable and most played song on ccm airwaves at its release. Production included top duo of CCM Degarmo & Key, the latter Key we sadly lost in June 2010. "Sincerely Yours" ends side one; another top ccm talent songstress Debby Boone covered the song very well also. Right off, you can distinguish the late Dana Key on bgvs. I like side 2 starter, "The Secret of Love", the following year the group Joysong would cover the song & title their August '82 release the same. "Anywhere" follows, a collaboration with his bride to be. Not quite the type of duet one would expect, and Amy hadn't quite grasped her sound in CCM until her "Age to Age" release exploded. "I'd Really Like to Tell You" is another album favorite; it was obviously written for Amy. Too bad the title song missed out on being included on Amy Grant's concert Age to Age vhs release. side 2 befittingly closes with thought provoking lyrics of title "One Hope". Anyone else notice the outline of cover photo, similar to what would be used for Amy's "Unguarded" cover photos 4 years later. God bless, Don
