Comment: From another architect - I loved "Hill Climbing" and still do, especially the beautiful title track. And I think the title track of "Harvest Time" must be one of the finest pieces of composition and songwriting within or outside the Christian sphere. The two melancholy songs in it are gorgeously framed by the rather Stravinsky-like chamber-orchestra passages. Distinctive melodies, studied dissonance, irregular time signatures, yearning transitions - this piece has it all. The strange thing is that the major-key song sounds even more heart-rending than the minor. But there is an underlying warmth and hope by the end. I would call it a masterpiece. I am shocked - but pleasantly so - at the value now accorded to the pressings of these two records. Mine are definitely not for sale! Shocked also at the passing of Trevor Sandford. He certainly won't find he is a "stranger" in heaven. The different personalities in the band seem to have been perfectly complementary. Their history may have been short, but their music is rich and timeless. Ars longa, vita brevis, as The Nice would say.
