James 3:2 says, 'We stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check'.

It is very important to watch what we say from our mouth. Our mouth and the words that come out of it cause many problems in our life. The tongue is a very small organ, but it controls the whole of our body and lives. We can always bless our life or curse our lives with our words; words are really powerful! We all know that God used his words to create the whole world.

The Bible says in Proverbs 10:11, 'The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence'.

Yes! The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life. Our God is a righteous God. A few days back, when I was pondering on the creation of God, I was imagining how God created the whole world. Then the Lord enlightened some thoughts into my mind, which I would like to share.

When God created the world, I think that he would certainly have dreamt and thought about how the creation is going to be. I mean, he might have had a blueprint in his mind about the creation he is about to create and then by faith he let the words out, which came to life.

In the same way we have to always dream our lives to be in the best possible way and start using our words to build our lives to be blessed and to live in prosperity and peace.

Jesus says in John 10:10 that he came to this world to give us not just life, but life in full, or abundance, but many a times our words become the root cause of why we don't live the promised abundant life.

The Bible says that death and life are in our words. We control our lives with our words. What we speak and confess today is what we live tomorrow. We need to start speaking words of victory and stop speaking words of defeat. Our words have great authority given by God. Read Joshua 10:12-14, Joshua did use the authority he had through his words and created history. This clearly shows how amazing the power is that lies in our words.

The Bible says in James 3:10 that out of the same mouth comes praise and cursing and clearly it is mentioned that we shouldn't be like that. God wants our words to be fruitful and to be a blessing to us and to everyone around us. If we learn to control our words in our anger, then we will definitely be a victorious Christian.

In Matthew 12:34-37 it says that the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. If the heart is good then that man brings out good. We should be alert about what we speak as we have to give account on the Day of Judgment for every empty word that has been spoken.

If we learn to control our words, then our family, finances, life and everything that belongs to us will be under control.

James 3:18 says, 'Peace makers who sow in peace reap a harvest in righteousness' and as we already read in Proverbs 10, the mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life. The words spoken out from a righteous person will only pour out life and cause blessing and peace to his life.

When we look into 1 Samuel 16:7 we see that God anointed David as he had a pure and blameless heart. He wasn't that good looking or super talented like his brothers; he was just a shepherd boy. We know that because when we see Samuel come to anoint Jesse's son's he brought all his best sons and forgot about David, but God looked into David's heart and even though he wasn't the best in all the things like his brothers, his heart was pure. He was called as a person next to God's own heart. Although David did mistakes in his life, he never let those ruin his relationship with God.

As king David said:

Psalm 17:3 'I have resolved (firmly determined) that my mouth will not sin'....let us take a decision not to let sin enter into our lives through our words.

Psalm 19:14 'Let the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight'....let our words always be pleasing in the sight of our God.

Psalm 39:1 'I will put a muzzle on my mouth as long as the wicked are in my presence'.... Let us learn to speak what God wants and not what we think.

God anointed David as his heart was pure. In the same way God wants to anoint us. Let us humble ourselves in his presence and ask him to create in us a clean heart and to renew his spirit within us.

The anointing breaks the yolk. When we receive the anointing from the Lord, every bondage is going to be broken and freedom will be surrounding our lives.

Therefore my beloved brethren, lets choose to watch what we speak and let our words bring forth blessing, peace, joy and love and be pleasing in the sight of the Lord. AMEN! CR
