Dennis Peacocke comments on the liberal humanist worldview

Today, the rally cry of the Jews throughout the world is "Never again!" This means that they will never permit a slaughter such as happened in Nazi Germany to happen again. "Never again!" carries with it the affirmation that life cannot and will not be taken without a fight.

As Christians, we too must make this motto ours with the liberal-humanist alliance increasingly demanding that our voices not be allowed to be heard in the public realm. Never again will we allow ourselves to be isolated and forced to stay inside our Sunday meeting ghettos, playing religious patty-cake, while you liberal-humanists take care of the really important job of running our world. Never again! We are coming out of our religious closets - ones that you tried to nail shut-right out into the public arena, never again to be isolated from the issues of our times. As the Nazis moved toward the holocaust planned for their victims, they had a simple strategy. First, convince the general public that the Jewish influence and control over society was a pollutant and divisive. Second, begin sealing off the Jews from public office, debate, commerce, and "ghettoize" them so they might be contained in preparation for their removal from society. Then, after their containment, quietly eliminate them, with the masses silently turning their heads away.

Ghettoize The Christian Voice

Am I suggesting that the liberal-humanist alliance wants to gas-oven committed Christians? Not at all...they don't have to kill us. In a democracy, all they have to do is kill our voice and our convictions by making sure that enough people are persuaded (through the media) that strong Christian convictions in the political realm are a pollutant and divisive to the harmony of society. The underlying philosophy behind the twentieth century interpretation of "the separation of church and state" is just that: "Ghettoize" the Christian voice and begin a process of isolation so that its ideological effect on society can eventually be "surgically" removed from the public realm. The problem for the liberal-humanists is that their victim is waking up on the operating table, breaking off his surgical straps, and shouting, "Never again!" To separate a man's religious convictions from how he votes on the issues of the culture around him is like trying to separate breathing from being alive-it can't be done. We can and should keep the institution of the Church and the institution of the civil government separated, for each has its biblically defined sphere. But you can't separate your worldview, your view of reality - which is the real definition of the word "reality" - from the exercise of those views in your civic duties as a citizen of a democracy.

To tell me that I can't bring my worldview of life into the electoral/social process is like telling me that I can live with my wife but I must not get emotionally involved with her! Because God is concerned with every realm of life, my view of reality as a Christian must touch everything also.

The unholy alliance of church liberals, political liberals, and secular humanists has gone even one step further beyond their attempt to "ghettoize" us. They have marched and picketed and led one series after another of pious protests against conservative values, all the while seeing absolutely no violation by their religion (humanism) of some church/state separation requirement. It was only when we wanted out of the ghetto and back into the game that they shamelessly cried, "Foul!" and went to the media-liberal alliance referee and demanded that we be thrown once again out of the game.

Liberal vs Conservative Voice

When the liberal religious conscience functions and demonstrates on the street, it is "for human freedom" and "against repression." When the conservative Church speaks, it is "a threat to democracy" and "a violation of the separation of church and state." "Back to your Sunday morning religious ghettos, you conservative-minded Neanderthals!" they say. "You're out of touch, out of date, and your ideas are bigoted and divisive. We Liberals are the true guardians of human rights - except yours, of course." Fat chance...never again.

The dismal failure of the so-called "war on poverty" to truly break the curse of poverty; the murder of over forty million unborn babies that "inconvenienced" their parents; the war on women and children through pornography; the spread of totalitarian, Christ-hating regimes internationally; the crushing U.S. national debt; the destruction of family life. Are we supposed to believe that these are not issues of worldview (religious) convictions? You liberal-humanists have had your turn, and look at what your worldview has produced. We most certainly will not roll over and play dead, or allow you to disqualify us from participating in the public realm. Stand out of the way, please, so that we can defeat you on your own ground.

Never again!
