Premier installing Optimods to increase quality of transmission

LONDON'S pioneering Christian radio station Premier have broken even in the financial year just closed. In view of the fact that the quality of Premier's transmission is erratic and sometimes quite poor, Premier are planning to install a device called on Optimod, which is a digital signal enhancer, at each of their transmitter sites. Optimods cost £5,000 and can be installed one by one as funds come in until their Medium Wave transmitters on 1305 at Enfield and Ewell, 1413 at Heathrow and Dartford and 1332 for central London are all equipped.

Under a new arrangement the editorial teams for Christianity and Youth work magazines are now based at Premier using spare office space. Said a spokesperson. "We believe that sharing our facilities and resources should bless both the radio and print ministries." CR
