Its that time of year again when people are graduating high school, college & university. The inevitable conversation ensues; "what now, what do you want to do, what career do you do with that?" The answer seems to be almost unanimous, "I HAVE NO IDEA!"

I remember when I was a kid, there were so many different things I wanted to be; police officer, army special forces, president and even James Bond. I believed I could be anyone and do anything - change the world even!! As time went on those dreams began to fade and the insecurity of an uncertain future began to set in. I am still the same person almost nothing has changed except my ability to dream. I wish that Isaac Newton had never discovered gravity because it has this uncanny ability to keep your feet firmly on the ground even when it comes to dreaming.

Many of our hopes and dreams sit on a framework, which is underlined by the words "I can't." We see the problems rather than possibilities, the forest and not the trees.

What would the world be like if William Wilberforce had caved in to the belief that one man couldn't make a difference. The abolition of slavery would never have happened. What would the world be like if Nelson Mandela had been content to stay in that prison cell?

So many people have shaped the world by choosing to believe that they could do it!!

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! What if you believed "I can" rather than "I can't"?

What would happen if you couldn't fail?

If finance, time, location, age, knowledge, ability, failure or success were not an issue what would you do? These are the dream stealers, which cause us to not even try.

Marianne Williamson puts it like this, "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

So dare to dream, don't be afraid to try.

Romans 8:28-31 If God is for us who can be against us? It screams a challenge to whoever is listening, YOU CAN DO IT, GOD IS FOR YOU! CR
