Luke 2:25-30

Matt Summerfield encourages us to reach out to God wherever we're at in our faith journey

Continued from page 1

I can die happy because I have seen Jesus. I have seen the Messiah. I have seen God.

I can die happy because I know that from now on everything can be different.

I can die happy because I know that God always keeps his promises.

I can die happy because I'm holding the God worth waiting for.

2000 years later I believe God hasn't changed.

Jesus is still the God worth waiting for.

Jesus promises to be with us always.

Jesus promises that his life, death and resurrection mean that we can be forgiven, healed, restored and fulfilled - that we can experience life with God for now and all eternity.

And he still keeps his promises.

Sometimes it doesn't feel like it. Sometimes you wonder if he even exists.
Sometimes your prayers feel like they're rebounding off the walls.
Sometimes it might seem like you're waiting in vain.

But Simeon's story reminds us that God always comes through; God keeps his promises.

If you search for God you'll find him.

And when you find him you'll find everything that you've been looking for.

He is the God worth waiting for.
