Cross Rhythms reader Stuart Watts tells how he was impacted by a chunk of thrash metal.

Continued from page 1

I believe that God will continue to show His love for me through others who, in many ways, share the burden of my disability.

I believe that, if it was in accordance with His perfect will for me, God would heal me now as I write these words.

And I believe that whatever happens in this life, I too, like Katie, will one day stand in the presence of my Saviour, my body, mind and spirit restored by the power of the blood which He shed for me (and you).

And I shall then go and find Katie and give her a big hug.

KATIE
Music Ian Arkley Lyrics Simon Bibby

Born into a world of hate
Cast out, by the hands of vanity.
Body, twisted, A wall of pain
Jesus, save me from this dying humanity.

(Her) existence a gift bestowed by the nail pierced hands
(The) struggles never ending,
Haunting her every breath.
(Her) witness a rose in a cold and desolate land
(Her) faith so strong, defying death.

A hurting blemished infancy wrought with afflictions scars
(Her) strength, tower divine,
(A) comfort to never cease
(Her) love a river of hope, pulling down the prison bars
(The) fear a distant voice, taken by the Prince of Peace.

Now is the time, My Lord does call
To walk with him throughout eternity
The Son of God has given all
Releasing me from the grip of my infirmity

The heavens are opening wide
My Saviour, stands at my side
My form is tortured no more His Blood,
My Body, Restored.
