One thing that I love to do when I pray is be creative! Personally I find it very difficult to keep my focus in prayer. I know prayer is essential and I love to pray, especially when I get the beautiful place with the Father where you could just sit all day. The main way I have found that helps me when I pray is to be creative.
Creativity I believe comes directly from the heart of God. He did after all create the whole world, with the beauty, colour and at times shear fun you can see that He took in the forms that He created. I believe that they say a great deal about God and His love for the creative side of humans. God made each of us very different so don’t feel bad if you find it hard to pray in certain ways because that’s how God made you and He made you different because He loves variety, therefore why shouldn’t He love creative prayer. God wants us to learn to express our heart to Him in different ways according to how He made us therefore let go and EXPRESS YOURSELF in your way before God; so long as you are in line with the Bible and know that you please God’s heart go for it!
Before I go into any major detail on creative prayer I want to first look into ways the Bible encourages us to pray and not to pray and out of that I think creative prayer comes. So for the next few weeks we’ll be looking at different ways people prayed in the Bible.
