Now, this is interesting - praise and worship songs specifically compiled for your action-packed aerobics training to add to "your complete cardiovascular fitness programme". Makes you think -is this relegating worship and spiritual experience to just a tool for bodily workout a la Jane Fonda, or is it submitting yet another area of personal life to the Lordship of Christ? Answers on a postcard... Musically, and obviously, all the songs are upbeat and American, often with participation from a live audience, which will probably satisfy existing aerobic die hards. As a fitness exercise collection it probably works. On the other hand, as a worship experience it proves most unsatisfactory. Music is rarely used in a totally upbeat, punchy way when organising corporate worship - no place here for the meditational, the slow paced focus which gives a balance in reflecting on God. A naggingly one-paced, manipulative, unmemorable compilation.
