The title is 'Out The Box', and (groan) this album will definitely be out of its box and in my CD player for sometime. Tonéx delivers an eclectically, outstanding, live performance over two disks. The show is captured in all its glory (crowd screams - the lot) with an over-enthusiastic hype introduction from Yolanda Adams. The huge audience is now in a frenzy as we are smashed through a mass of styles from urban rock to hip-hop to R&B to trad gospel to jazz. In fact, there is almost no stone left unturned!  And this is its genius. It's one huge, glossy, but moving worship event. You can almost touch the presence oozing from this album. A forty strong choir, a seven-piece band and a three-piece horn section aid Tonéx (along with Kirk Franklin, Sheila E, Apple Jaxx and Yvette Adams) to lead the crowd through an incredible range of emotions, ultimately towards praise.  If that wasn't enough, there are several 'studio' tracks slipped on the end of each CD, which are worth buying the album for alone!  I'm not a huge fan of OTT live albums, as they tend to wander musically, but this has such an anointing, I'll just have to ignore the long intros and outros. We need more worship events like this!
