Released as part of Word's 25th anniversary celebration series, this is an unusual selection as it does feature some tracks never issued here and at least three of the artists don't even record for the label, and one of the George Hamilton IV tracks "Streets Of London" is not even gospel! (Just a darn good song written by England's Ralph McTell.) Nice to get a couple of Jerry Arhelger tracks I had not heard before. Jerry is on tour here soon and a very underrated artist. The two Garth Hewitt tracks are the standouts, "When Johnny Cash Sang Man In Black" and "Memories" are certainly the most country items he has ever recorded. The latter is Cliff Richard produced and comes complete with steel guitar and plenty of references to the grand ole opry! A bit of an oddball collection, but it works reasonably.
