Begone all ye who doubted! Britain DOES have a sanctified dance scene and this album is all the proof we need. It may still be fragile, but this comes as a massive boost, especially for the fine new artists that Cummings has unearthed. And there are two mind-bogglingly brilliant tracks on this album. The first is by The Flood (DJ Mark Cooper). It's called "Morning Time" and it really is as unusual, epic and refreshing as CR27 told you. It's based on a sermon by Rev Jesse Jackson and succeeds brilliantly in flowing with the rise and fall of great oratory. The second outstanding track is "Mistral" by, er, Mistral. It's really another creation from the Minds Of Men who, under various guises, have contributed roughly half the tracks on the album. Not all of them do much for me, but "Mistral" is in a cosmos all of its own. I've simply heard nothing better within the entire chilled out dance movement. The sheer craftsmanship is really quite awesome. The other highlights for me are Nessie's "It's Not A Swear Word" which rumbles along nicely and Soul Freedom's "I Believe In You" which you'll find yourself singing over and over again. I don't think that every track hits these high standards but I'm utterly sure that it's a significant release for British CCM. Buy it for its highlights.
