A product of the Rainbow Church and featuring their musicians and composers in quite a wide range of styles. Considering the tiny budget and the two months timescale from A-Z, the results are praiseworthy, also bearing in mind that for most of the artists it was a first recording experience. Sound quality and technical finesse is way above many projects of this type, though a certain 'brightness' is missing from the sound here and there. The songs are inventive and also absorbing, many with quite creative arrangements. "Redeemed" is a jaunty, invigorating pop/rock track, slightly basic and dated, but aggressive with nifty lead guitar. Highlights include "Mr Ambiguous" and "Birthday", simply 'cos I like Ronke Sohmirin's light, jazz-based vocal style and the punchy sound of "The Light", also I enjoyed Vanessa Gibbs, probably the most mature assured voice of the lot. Nothing particularly sensational to report, but decent music with the occasional hint of future promise and obviously lashings of genuine commitment.
