If your budget doesn't stretch too far then this compilation is an excellent introduction to the world of Rugged Records, now being distributed over here thanks to Nelson Word. This album features the return of Barren Cross and Neon Cross (after five/six years) and also features Red Sea and PK Mitchell. You get three tracks from each artist and first up is the excellent Barren Cross with tracks from their new album 'Rattle Your Cage' (reviewed last issue), the best being the opener "Here I Am", a number 1 radio hit in America. Next is Red Sea with their "Whitesnake" and Deep Purple influenced heavy rock sounding very good indeed and vocalist Robyn Kyle can certainly sing, one of the best that I've heard. Next is Neon Cross, who had an album out six years ago which I didn't think much of but they sound good here, straight down the line metal. The best track being "Buy My Record" with its funny but serious lyrics. PK Mitchell closes the record with two tracks from his rock worship album 'All Hail The Power' and a new track called "Do You Believe", and they certainly had me praising God. Well worth buying.
