A superb collection featuring six up-and-coming Irish bands and singers put together especially for Greenbelt '93. 'Field Of Dreams' show-cases Belfast-based lain Archer and Dublin bands Little Black Train, Forever Remain, What? and Watch This Space. Each is given two tracks, and highlights are Archer, who, still in his early 20s, has a maturity that belies his age and who will be a big, big star within five years, and Little Black Train, a 5-piece given to using dustbins as percussion in their live shows to assist their industrial funk sound. What? produce R&B based soul, Watch This Space a melancholy pop, and the Replacements-styled Forever Remain who also have the best song title, "Born Again Pagan". With not one bad track, this cassette is excellent value and deserves an immediate CD release. But more than that, all the artists deserve record deals to bring their music to the wider public.
