The idea behind this series of releases seems to be to expose the British Church to the influence of a variety of fellowships worldwide where the praise and worship music is of a higher standard and, perhaps, more varied in style than is usual. So there's rock from Christian Outreach Centre and Christian City Church, Australia; pop/soul from New Frontiers and black-sounding gospel from Kensington Temple, and what we've become accustomed to from the Hosanna series, from Calvary Chapel, USA and Oslo Christian Centre, Norway. If you expect to hear congregations in full flow you'll be disappointed because most of the tracks appear to have been studio produced by the worship bands. The exceptions are COC and Calvary Chapel. Where the collection does score is in opening up ideas for worship that are a step away from the normal superslick US productions.
