BBC U-turn results in Alliance contract with BBC Enterprises

AFTER MANY years during which the BBC refused to accept that any sizeable CD, tape and video market existed for their thousands of recordings of religious material, a U turn in their position has resulted in Alliance Music being offered a contract with BBC Enterprises. Under the deal, Alliance will, according to their MD Ian Hamilton, be releasing "eight to 10 audio releases a year and probably a similar number of video products." One of the first releases will be the Songs Of Praise programme recorded at the Old Trafford football ground.
