Eric Clapton guests on the Robert Randoph & The Family Band album 'Colorblind'

SEVERAL high profile guests feature on the latest album by gospel blues team Robert Randolph & The Family Band, 'Colorblind'. Produced by, amongst others, Mark Batson (Dave Matthews Band, Gwen Stefani) and Pete Kipley (Mark Schultz, MercyMe), the album features such guests as Dave Matthews, Leela James and Eric Clapton. Standout track on the album is a new version of the Doobie Brothers/dc Talk song "Jesus Is Just Alright" featuring Randolph trading solos with Eric Clapton. Critic John Metzger wrote, "Its driving, rhythmic groove combined with the snarling, tangled guitars and impassioned vocals provided by Randolph and Clapton succeed in generating a loose, organic essence," while Cross Rhythms' Tony Cummings commented, "This version is the definitive rendition of the song." CR
