Nonna, Erica Cumbo, V.Rose on female hip-hop album

A BEVY of female gospel rappers are presented on a new album, 'Girl Code', presented by Grammy Award winning emcee Thi'sl. Said Thi'sl, "I wanted to contribute to the lack of female presence in hip-hop. There are some powerful women in this industry that just haven't been heard. My goal is to bring dope female artists to the limelight, and to introduce some new voices that many in Christian Hip Hop haven't heard. We're releasing the 'Girl Code' compilation album October 1, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We'll host a dope launch event for the album on that date that will not only increase the female voice in hip-hop, but also raise money for a worthy female cause." Confirmed artists for this project include Jai, Natalie Lauren (formerly Suzy Rock), Erica Cumbo, Nonna, Butta P, V.Rose, Tina Carter, Martay and Heesun Lee. The first single "One Man Girl" by Nonna featuring Latoya Wilson will release on 2nd July. CR
