Washington Projects talk about changing name from Souljahz

BROTHER and sister duo Washington Projects, whose new album 'Commanders Of The Resistance' is released by Black And White Records on 8th March, recently spoke about the group's need to change their name from Souljahz. JeKob Washington told Christian Retailing magazine, "The name change was initially prompted by us leaving our previous record label. To be completely honest, the only way we could leave our record deal early was to give up the name Souljahz. As hard as it was to do, we were extremely excited to make a fresh start with the new name."
