New initiative to help songwriters begins in November

A NEW INITIATIVE to help Britain's songwriters began in November. The CMA has launched a new Songshare Scheme, which will act as a platform for songwriters in the worship and CCM genre. With satellites in over 10 regions around the UK, songwriters will be asked to attend a local Songwriters Forum and "as they develop friendship and trust with other writers so they can have their songs critiqued by trained songwriters". Every three months, the local forum will submit a number of songs they have selected for the Regional Songshare list. This list will be circulated directly to churches who can make their selections of new material. CR
