New ministry, Innervation Trust launched in Manchester

A NEW ministry, Innervation Trust, has been launched in Manchester incorporating two of the most significant compaŽnies in British Christian pop music, Movation Productions and Kik-Start. The new minŽistry, run by veteran pop dance producer Zarc Porter and cofounder of the World Wide Message Tribe Mark Pennells, will be the home of girl band Shine and pop duo V*enna and will also head up a new resource to schools known as The Clone Theory. In their launch brochure IT set out the thinking behind the initiaŽtive, "The World Wide Message Tribe focus on the schools of Manchester, Shine focus on the schools of Milton Keynes. Wouldn't it be absolutely brilliant to have a quality schools band in every major city across the UK. Then of course there's the rest of Europe and even the World! Quite a vision, a dream perŽhaps, or could it really hapŽpen? We believe it can and will!

"The idea is to have a band on the lines of Shine or the World Wide Message Tribe which is then cloned over and over again. In other words, the same songs are used, the same dance routines are performed, even identical equipment is used in each city, but by a different team of evangeŽlists/performers. The idea being to get it right once and then to copy it over and over again, giving hundreds of fired up evangelists the chance to focus on a city and on schools evangelism, but with all the resources, trainŽing and back up they could posŽsibly need. Each team will be trained in every aspect of being part of a band/schools team, including singing, dancŽing, taking lessons, setting up equipment, working as a team, running a full concert event, etc. Of course, linking up with local churches and organisations in each city would be vital and the whole project would have a working together feel to it! It will take hours of training, thouŽsands of pounds and a great deal of sweat and toil, but it will be worth it to see thouŽsands of teenagers become Christians in the schools across the UK and further a field."
