AIR Gospel label bought by Malaco Music Group.

JACKSON-based gospel company Malaco Music Group and Selecto-Hits have bought successful gospel label Atlanta International Records (AIR Gospel). AIR's roster includes Dottie Peoples, Luthar Barnes and the Red Budd Community Choir, Maurette Clark Brown, Rev FC Barnes and Timothy Wright. Said Tommy Couch, Sr, president of Malaco Music Group, "This purchase is really a coup for Malaco. We are very excited to add the AIR catalogue to our own, which will make it the richest and largest collection of gospel music held throughout the world."
